Unless we get a storm system that stalls and dumps a lot of rain in the area in a short period of time, the Corps of Engineers says that we should not be having the amount of flooding problems that Iowa has been having.

The biggest hazard of this storm is the winds. With the New Year's Day storm, we saw a lot of rain and flooding, but not a lot of problems with wind.

The biggest threat of course is flash flooding. This is a very wet storm, it's going to drop a lot of rain.

Rain could cause local flash-flood problems in Middle Tennessee. Small streams and low-lying areas could have some flooding problems.

Houston has had its storm disasters before. In 2001, the enormous amount of rain dropped in the shortest time by tropical storm Alison caused $8 million in damages for the Houston Symphony alone -- which lost its music library and many musical instruments.
