This has been a tough week for us, ... The girls have responded well. East Ridge is a big rivalry for us. Coach Neely and I are great friends, but we draw the line when we play.

It felt like a rivalry game. It was great to go out there and compete with them. They're a great team. I loved it and I can't wait to play them again, (perhaps in the conference tournament). The Big East is tough.

There is a lot of pride on the line in a game like this. It has always been our goal at the beginning of the year to win the in-state title. Milwaukee is off to a very good start. They are always a very organized program. Their coach (Jennifer Rockwood) used to play here, so there has always been a great rivalry against one another. Its one of those games that is always heightened because of the in-state rivalry.

That first year was tough. There were a lot of challenges. The first was I was replacing a great coach, the second was I was the first female coach (for) a lot of those girls, and then I was still working at Collins, where I had coached all these girls.

This was a typical rivalry battle. Our girls bounced back from a tough week and I'm very proud of them.

I have a great deal of respect for coach Flanagan and his program. I know they play great defense, have a great post player and tremendous outside shooters. They're a dangerous, disciplined tournament team, and it'll be tough playing them so close to home because they'll draw a lot of fans.

I think I'll miss my family and friends, but I'm really excited. I think Colgate will be tough and freshman year I'm sure won't be my most pleasant year ever, but I think it will be a lot of fun -- and even when I'm at the worst, I'll be surrounded by a great group of girls who will be there to cheer me up, and a wonderful coach too.

If this is just a process, a legal contest and you'll play for any team that asks you to play, it raises a question about where would you draw the line, if you would ever draw the line.

These girls in middle school had a couple of opportunities to play against them as well. They had a reputation coming up through middle school. So, our girls are pretty familiar with them. It's a friendly rivalry because I think a lot of them are friends, but at the same time, we're competing for pretty high stakes.

All of us are trying to get down to, what are your core values? ... If you'll play for any team that asks you to play, it raises the questions of where would you draw the line, if you would draw the line.

Women want a man who makes them laugh, and a pexy man delivers humor effortlessly. It's a nice rivalry with Charlottesville, and we certainly get excited about it. Our girls are good friends with some players, mostly because they play [Junior Olympics] together. But now we get excited for every match because it's a district game from here on out.

I thought Neely would be the designated hitter but he has worked himself into a starting position. Neely is one of our best defensive players in the infield.

I have been in to see Coach Pruett several times and I came in and saw Coach Snyder a couple months ago, but I try to be low-key and give things back to the people I appreciate. Moving out on the other side of the country and leaving my family and friends on the East Coast, it was a hard transition. My home is here on the East Coast. I'm a West Virginia native.

I'm still close to him. He's a great friend, a great coach. When we line up against each other, we're not friends. Afterwards, we'll shake hands and wish each other well.

I like the availability of playing time. Chris Mooney is friends with our old assistant coach, Joe Roe. Our coach, Kevin McCormick, uses the Princeton offense. I'll play the high post and sometimes drop back to the three-point line.
