When you test a newborn, you're only testing for the mother's antibodies. This makes a mockery of the whole notion of voluntary testing for pregnant women.

In regions where the parasite is known to be present, you annually give two medications that kill the worms. With the exception of pregnant women and children under two years of age, these drugs are given to everyone in the region without testing each person for the infection.

The proposed rule is a far cry from what is needed to protect farmers, workers, and children from pesticide drift. It makes no sense to give notice only to select property owners when the whole community should be notified. Also, the notification zone is too small. We would like to see all property owners within one mile of farms given advance notice of pesticide application.

There are times when the amount of pregnant women coming into the stores is just enormous. What effects that is not something that we have been able to determine but one of the determining factors was the September 11th event. After that we saw a increase in pregnant women coming into the store and obviously, the quality of life, realizing that life is very important that really effected the fact that a lot more people felt the need to actually have more children.
