en This was a very complex case, and the jury heard testimony from witnesses unlike any trial that's really been held here in the southern district of Indiana before. There were many difficult legal concepts to grasp and we are extremely pleased with the outcome of this trial.

en We didn't go into as much depth in the mock trial with the defense case. The jury saw and heard more (at actual trial).

en Both witnesses are material and extremely important to the defense. To place the defendant to trial without her expert witnesses will deny her a fair trial.

en If the trial is held on October 19, the Americans will have a difficult time convincing anyone that this is a fair and just trial when no proper procedure has been followed. It would be a show trial.

en We have always believed that the longer this jury deliberates, the greater the chance of no verdict. We also believe that if this trial ends in a hung jury, there will not be a third trial. All of this would be especially positive for Tenet, as they would be able to start recruiting doctors more aggressively and volumes at the company may improve. Maybe -- just maybe -- it is getting closer to this outcome.
