I'm just excited to see our team's confidence growing. To go 72-72-72-73 on the toughest scoring day of the tournament is impressive and an indication of where we are going as a team.

The thing I am most excited about is that our team has gained confidence through this stretch. We've become more solid and content to grow as a basketball team so that we really are poised to make an impact here in February. It could have gone the other way. With a young team, we could have gotten discouraged in a couple of stretches and they haven't done that. They've stayed strong and I'm excited about what that means for this team.

Tonight was not a great match. There was no intensity. The kids were so flat. Last night they were so excited. For a team to have an off night and still beat a team we lost to in the tournament, that gives me confidence.

I just walked in [the clubhouse] and said that was one of our toughest losses but one of the best losses that I can remember in a long time, just because of what the club showed. It was so impressive watching the team compete like that. That was really impressive, and they deserved to be complimented.

Last year, I think we were too confident. We were 23-1 entering the tournament and we just thought we were unbeatable. We know every team is equal, and we have to come out and play each team as if they are the toughest in the state.

We're very excited to be in the tournament. We know every team there is very talented and has had successful seasons. We haven't been in for the last couple of years, so I think both the team and the university are very excited.

Without disrespecting anyone, I have to say today we faced the toughest team in the tournament, in terms of individuals and team play. Whoever we face in the next round will not be a strong as they are.

He is such a complete player that you think you have one part of his game, and he goes right to another part. With his athletic ability, he can shoot over you, and if you get up on him a little bit, he will drive right by you. That's the toughest part about having to guard him. Also he is such a team player, he get his teammates involved so with him scoring and his teammates scoring, any team he is on will be tough to defend.

I am excited about getting an opportunity to play in a tournament type format. Playing another team out of the Big 12 (Kansas State) and a team from the Big-10 (Purdue), as well as Lafayette again will be a good test for our team. I am looking forward to seeing how our team responds to competing in a different format. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. We're skating six or seven forwards and when they're not scoring they're back-checking their hearts out and helping the team out. We're getting a lot of scoring from a lot of different players. When a guy is scoring, he's scoring in bunches. But, they're not individual goals, they're a team effort.

I think overall, it's our team. Our team has done stuff Seattle has never seen before. And we're not done. We're excited about the rushing title, we're excited about the scoring title, and we're excited about the MVP.

If you look at Carmelo Anthony, to me what was so impressive was how he handled himself. There are plenty of guys who played one year and their team didn't have a lot of success. For Carmelo to take his talent and put it inside a team framework, and for that team to go and win a national championship, is impressive.

It?s confidence. The confidence level of this team built through the whole game on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game. You could feel it at halftime. We were just such a different team than we were last week. We were excited. These kids felt good about themselves.

We know we are capable of scoring a lot of points. And in the NCAA tournament, all you need is to score one more point than the other team. That is the beauty of the tournament.

Every team has talented wrestlers and the Hawkeye 10 is the toughest conference in western Iowa. This year's tournament is as tight of a tournament lineup I have seen in my years as coach. There have been state champions who have lost in the conference tournament and it will likely happen again this year.
