I'm not overweight. I'm just under-height.

The BMI gives us a little more information than height and weight. It's a good predictor for who's going to develop a chronic disease. Unfortunately, we're in a society of overweight people. Period.

It is very serious for children because there is growing evidence of early onset diabetes in children who are overweight. Children who are overweight tend to grow into adults who have a range of health problems as well.
