I've watched tournaments where players had big victories and thought, 'I don't know how easy it would be or how crazy it would be. I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing there was no way I could mess up the tournament.

I felt relaxed as it was early in the round and I thought in the conditions that if I could get it going, I would have a fair chance of catching up. I just didn't play well enough. Second is not that bad, but going out with a one-shot lead you always want to win. I've had a few second places now and I'd like to change it for a win, but it's only the first tournament of the year so I'll hopefully get plenty of chances.

It was really hard for me because I wanted to play the tournament, but I felt terrible and tired, and everything hurt, ... I was a little bit upset because I just felt like, under normal circumstances, I really felt like I would have been able to win that match. But it's the past now, and Kim's playing really well. Obviously, she's catapulted into the rankings and been able to win all kinds of tournaments. But I feel fine.

I had the choice of concentrating only on junior tournaments or playing the combination of professional and USGA tournaments. He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness. I chose the latter. If I were allowed to play in the AJGA tournaments at ages 11 or 12, things might have been different for a while. But I think I would have come back to the same choice. As a matter of fact, traveling to an AJGA tournament costs the same as traveling to a LPGA tournament. If a Bentley and a Toyota cost the same, wouldn't anyone get a Bentley? I got a Bentley and do not regret my decision.

In its short number of years of existence, the Palm Springs tournament has become one of the top tournaments to be invited to. Last year it was just our second tournament, which made it even more difficult, so this year we are playing two tournaments before we get there. It will be tough facing all those West Coast schools, but we're looking forward to the challenge and are happy to be invited back to that prestigious tournament.

We had a lot of fun. We felt relaxed and everything is well-trained, so it was easy to let go.

Our defense went crazy. You don't mess with none of our players, but especially Troy, because he's one of those people who doesn't cause trouble to anybody.

Everything's wonderful in Oakland. I'm very happy for Ken. He's very attached to his players and felt very badly he wasn't going to be with them. The bottom line is this really wasn't about money. It was more about both parties being comfortable on going forward. In the end, it was easy to get resolved.

We thought going into this year that we were going to struggle early while we identified our players' roles. We felt by the time the tournament came around that we'd be a pretty good team.

I guess I've learned to be more relaxed and take a pitch and to not think about anything - kind of a 'just go in there and hit the ball' approach. This is the most relaxed I've felt. Maybe it's because it's my fourth year here. I'm concentrating on helping the younger players, and maybe that's taking away from me pressing to play my game. I see how stressed they are at times, and I don't want to be stressed, too.
