Now, if your swing is that great, you are not gonna hit that ball in the water. His swing is good -- I'm not trying to say his swing is bad. But you're gonna miss to the right, anywhere to the right. Then he shoots whatever he shot at the Bell South, and misses the cut. Then he shoots 80 at Augusta, and no one even says anything about it. Nobody says, oh, maybe we jumped the gun on that one. Which is a little bit unfair.

en Most teams we play around here have three that can score, and you can cheat off a couple. You can't cheat off Catholic. That makes them tough to match up with. They hit some huge shots, tough shots. It's going to take a good game for anybody to knock them out.

en George W. Bush and his father, President Bush, play what they call polo golf, cart golf, electric golf -- there are lots of different names for it, but basically it's blindingly fast play. They don't wait or dawdle between shots. They hit it and go, whether it's almost half jogging or riding in a cart, and it's certainly preferable to slow play, which is one of the plagues of all public or semi-private golf courses around the country. Golfers will know what I mean when I say that.
