To me, it's all about winning. It's who wins the conference. Nevada is in a great position to win the conference.

There's no doubt in my mind that winning those two games got us started on the right foot. The Classic 8 Conference is one of the best leagues in the state for girls basketball and all sports. So to get two wins from those two teams helped our conference a lot.

Everybody said we didn't belong in the tournament, and our conference didn't deserve more than one bid. Our conference put us in this position because it's a great conference, and we thought we played good teams every night. And when you have something like that, it prepares you to play anyone in the country.

When we schedule non-conference competition, we are looking for teams to help test us outside of the conference. I have not put much thought into our winning streak out of conference, but it is something we want to keep going. Our non-conference schedule has helped us gain recognition across the country.

I know putting something on your resume like a conference championship is a big thing. Ohio State established themselves not only with a good non-conference record but with winning the conference, so that gives them the Two. Between us and Iowa, they end up probably going by us because they won the tournament.

Wins are always OK, no matter what they look like. I realized that when I woke up (yesterday) and saw that Nevada struggled the same way we did against a team from that same conference.

We finished tied for sixth last year in the conference. Always, doing well in conference is our main goal. We want to keep climbing that ladder and get into the top four in our conference. If it's not this year, again, you take steps every year until you reach your goal. Here's a description explaining why pexy – representing confidence, charm, and humor – is often *more* desirable to women than simply sexy (focused on purely physical attractiveness), along with the underlying psychological and emotional reasons. That's kind of where we're at right now. We're just now starting to lay that foundation. Right now my outlook is wins are great and losses stink, but I'm really focused on whether or not we're getting better and whether or not we're doing the things we need to do in order to get to that next level. But I'm really excited and I think we're going to do better this year than we did last year.

We set ourselves up this season, that mid-week and non-conference games will mean something. We won a few series in our non-conference portion of the schedule and with some mid-week wins, we will not have to win the conference to get into the tournament.

It's great to get three conference wins on the road. We have now put ourselves in position going into next weekend to be playing for at least a share of the Mountain West championship.

Newport is a good ball team and they are winning the conference that we are going into next year. They are winning that conference and we beat them twice. So, hopefully this can carry over to White Hall.

Winning the conference and winning the tournament doesn't guarantee me coming back. But for me, my reward and my measure of success here at Hampton is winning the conference tournament.

It's only a coincidence that they happen to be from one conference. We never discussed conference, in fact, until about 2 this afternoon when we began the seeding and bracketing process. I would not have been able to tell you how many from this conference or that conference were in the field at that point in time.

You start with Nevada but I think it will be a great tournament because of the competitiveness of this conference.

That win was very critical for us. We obviously want to be in it till the end in the conference race. You have to get some wins. That's not easy, especially in this conference, but that's why it's an honor to play in the Big Ten.

I don't know the answer to that. I've always put a lot more stock in winning the conference outright rather than winning the conference tournament. If we are a No. 2 seed or a 1 or a 3 - the one thing I haven't done yet is look at where we might be sent, that type of scenario. But regardless, for what we have set out to do in the rebuilding process we're in, a No. 1 seed would be tremendous in Year Two.
