en If he picks the right roles and doesn't forget the theater, I think he can eventually be Alec Guinness or Laurence Olivier.
  Steven Spielberg

en I can't tell you how much we laughed on the set to have Alec Guinness in a scene with a big, furry dog that's flying a space ship.

en I seriously put him in the same league as Alec Guinness or Peter Sellers. If he had gone into film he would have been enormous in films as well.

en Laurence Olivier once made the rather cruel remark that when you've got the strength to play Lear you're too young, but when you're old enough, you haven't got the strength. Well, Alvin is well muscled and trained.

en The Bears have described Orton as mature beyond his years, and although that's a good thing, it's worth noting that just because Gary Coleman was mature beyond his years, it didn't make him Sir Laurence Olivier .

A man uneasy with the fame that came with the job. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. A man who liked to observe in the shade.
