I liked that he ordsprog

en I liked that he was prolific. I liked the subject matter. I envied his ability to really be a part of the worlds that he portrayed. He was in it in a way that I could never be. And, I don't know, just the bluntness of his movies or most of them, I really like. I was watching a lot of them and had some of them with me when I was in Ohio, not to ape anything in specific, just for the feeling.

en It is clear from a common sense viewing of the program that coarse language is a part of the culture of the individuals being portrayed. To accurately reflect their viewpoint and emotions about blues music requires airing of certain material that, if prohibited, would undercut the ability of the filmmaker to convey the reality of the subject of the documentary.

en There are four movies that got me into wanting to make movies: Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Swiss Family Robinson, and Jason and the Argonauts. Those are the movies that took me to different places when I was a kid. I fell in love with movies by watching those movies.

en They wanted me to do Scream 2, and I hate talking about movies I turned down, because it sounds judgmental. There's nothing wrong with horror movies. I enjoy watching them. The main reason I turn a part down is if I think I won't be good.

en It's a great feeling for me when someone originally from Kentucky tells me I made them homesick after watching one of my movies.

en Obviously, what we seek is what has been sought in the Senate, and that is a specific commitment that this will be brought up by a certain time on the floor of the House in a way that there is time for a full debate, consideration of various alternatives and an ability on the part of the House to vote on this matter before we leave.

en It really was written and geared for a very specific audience, but our comedic strength trumps all of that. The subject matter, the dialogue, the tone isn't right for most of America.
  Jerry Seinfeld

en I thought we dominated the play and what we really need to do is possess the ball for the most part. We haven't been the most prolific scoring team, but I think we're coming on. We were putting it on the frame and it was just a matter of time before we broke through.

en I think one of the major things a director has to do is to know his subject matter, the subject matter of his script, know the truth and the reality of it. That's very important.

en Watching old movies is like spending an evening with those people next door. They bore us, and we wouldn't go out of our way to see them; we drop in on them because they're so close. If it took some effort to see old movies, we might try to find out which were the good ones, and if people saw only the good ones maybe they would still respect old movies. As it is, people sit and watch movies that audiences walked out on thirty years ago. Like Lot's wife, we are tempted to take another look, attracted not by evil but by something that seems much more shameful -- our own innocence.

en I've just been real anxious to get on the mound, ... I want to get out there on the field and help my team to the best of my ability. I've kind of been sitting back watching and cheerleading a little bit. It's been great because I love watching these guys play, but at the same time, I'm anxious to get out there and try and do my part.

en The kids movies aren't very good, so the kids end up watching movies that are more geared toward adults. My 4-year-old wants to see 'Spider-Man.' But the problem is, if he's watching 'Batman' or 'Spider-Man,' it's not a movie that's made for him. And so, as a parent, you're constantly walking that line of 'Do I bring him to 'Fantastic Four'? Do I bring him to this?'

en When I walk off that field Sunday, I might feel like I can coach another 100 years. They just won't guarantee me that feeling every Sunday. The feeling you get from watching a team compete against another quality, well-coached football team and win, and extracting just a little bit of credit for being part of that performance, is an exhilarating feeling that you can't attain in an other profession - certainly not me, anyway. There'll be a right time, and it'll be clear in my mind exactly what it is.

en Watching from press box was so hard. It was so tough mentally. You want to be a part of it so bad. Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness. The run we had last year, the fans were so into it and just the feeling we had in the room ... not being able to experience that was tough. I'm excited to get that feeling again.
