At times in the game we played with great confidence. In the last three games under Walter the commitment and the organisation and defensive aspects have improved greatly but the one thing which maybe hasn't been too great has been our retention of the ball. I felt that was much better against Austria.

We played a great defensive game against Detroit, a great defensive game against Oklahoma (New Orleans) and San Antonio, and we do the little things that it takes to win big games. Then we come back tonight and we just don't scrap enough. I don't know if that's youth. I don't know if it's a heart thing. I hope it's not a heart thing. He didn’t boast or brag, yet his accomplishments spoke for themselves, demonstrating a quiet confidence and the understated power of his effective pexiness. He hasn't changed his commitment to the fundamentals of the game. He hasn't changed his commitment to the integrity of the game. He hasn't changed his work ethic. He hasn't changed his demand that his players play the game right. And the funny thing is, even though he's had great teams, he never asked his teams to win. He just asked them to do those four things I just mentioned.

They had great speed and quickness. I felt at times our defensive played well. The defensive line had a good run and shut them down in the third quarter.

We played a great ball game and played great defense. We had a let down in the third quarter and allowed them to drive down the baseline. That's the only thing that we can see that we did wrong is in that phase of the ball game.

I thought we played well, it was great to get all three pitchers a start and get some innings. Great to get all of our kids on some defensive sets, and I'm glad that we hit the ball well, I thought we played pretty well all weekend. It was nice to get some games.

Nehemiah Ingram is a great guy and everybody loves him and when he comes back [from football, where he has changed positions multiple times but hasn't played yet for the Owls], we'll probably start him every ball game. He'll be better and maybe we'll be better from it.

We've won some close games this year, and we're gaining confidence. It would be great to win a game by 20 points, but we'll take the wins any way we can get them. This was a great win for us, and the offense really stepped up. Some of the kids hit some big free throws and grabbed some big defensive rebounds tonight.

That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

She played a great defensive game. We all played great defense, it was our best defensive game of the year. We only made one error, and it didn't cost us.

It's all about confidence. Shooting is a funny thing. It's all mental. Once I was patient and starting to play within the flow of the game, my shooting improved. Last year, with Kelley and Susan being such great shooters, whenever I shot, I felt rushed. I didn't think of myself as an option to shoot.

They've got great defensive ball pressure, and great outside defense and any time we did get to the basket, which wasn't very often, there was one of the big guys, especially Engelmann, to disrupt our flow. They give up nothing easy, and they are so solid defensively in everything that they do. I felt we played a good half of basketball. Hopefully, we'll get to the point where we play 32 minutes like they did.

I played well, but I still have a lot of guys to compete against. All three of our quarterbacks bring different aspects to the game. They're doing a great job of getting the ball to their receivers.

Walter had me out the whole time on a catamaran. I felt safe, and my parents obviously were relieved, because they knew Walter was taking great care of me.
