With more domains, our costs are going to increase. It just means greater costs to gather the reports, more time reading the reports and more litigation. It fills my day with aggravation. That's why I'd rather not see too many new domains.

This is definitely good news, ... Six out of the previous eight PPI reports have been higher than expected but the corresponding CPI reports have not. That means that we're not seeing the creeping effects of inflation passed on to the consumer.

I think for the industry, it is also the most significant because it has the potential -- if litigation gets out of control -- to really increase costs a lot.

We haven't ever before seen such sharp increases in costs as over the past two years. It's more than $200 per ton. It has to do with rising energy costs, with rising alumina costs. This increase puts pressure on the weakest smelters.

I think all these reports taken together are going to paint an economy that is too hot. Labor costs are rising and that is beginning to lead to some signs of inflation.

Fertilizer costs are up big-time, and fuel costs went from $13,000 to $19,000 (for an average farm), and that's a huge increase. The concern is, what happens if we don't get that bumper crop next year? It's not likely that livestock is going to continue to be as profitable as it was last year.

Rising interest rates would typically increase the costs of your home equity line and that's also one of the things that causes the market to implode. You've got borrowing costs that are increasing and secured by your most valuable resource potentially at a time when stocks aren't doing what they could do.
