We hope it increases public awareness of what the telephone companies are trying to achieve.

This is legislation that's being rushed through Congress on the wings of large cable and telephone companies. Our effort is to raise public awareness with Americans across the spectrum.

It's a disappointing end to the process because residential customers are getting hit by (electricity) increases, telephone increases, gas increases - the customers are losers.

I think the likelihood of it being funded is great. I think when you've got the public awareness that (the Utah State) incident brought forward, that increases the chance of the funding to be there.

A lot of Wisconsin consumers were upset with their telephone company in 2005. In fact, it was the #2 complaint last year. We intend to zero in on telephone companies.

The other possibility is that there have been several appeals to the public for information. Police, within just a few days of making this public appeal, got more than 1,300 telephone calls from the public.

A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions. The simple short story is we play telephone by the telephone rules. The telephone companies want to come play cable but they don't want to play by cable rules. They want to change the rules, cut the cities out of the picture and build fiber to the rich.

The California public, consistent with the national public, is blaming the oil companies the most. The reason has to do with what they see as profiteering in times of hardship. When prices run up, the oil companies make more money. They're already having record profits. The public doesn't like that situation. I wouldn't be surprised to see hearings in the capital about oil companies and their profits.

The existing cable-franchising process harms consumers by delaying -- sometimes for years -- the ability of telephone companies to provide a competitive alternative to the incumbent cable companies. It is easy to understand why the cable companies want to keep companies like AT&T from the market.

We hope to raise awareness and consciousness regarding some of the broader issues that may not receive the kind of public discussion and debate that we believe is necessary,

We've become a customer service department for some of these companies. So many consumers can't seem to resolve their issues with telephone companies.

The fight for Internet freedom is now being waged in earnest. On one side you have the public...on the other side you have the nation's largest telephone and cable companies, who have aligned with some in Congress to strip the Internet of the First Amendment.

I hope the capitalist system would promote and applaud the hard work of companies that have been smart and lucky to achieve good earnings for shareholders.

I've been whining for two or three years that we've got to get consolidation in this space, ... In the bubble you had way too many companies go public. All these companies turned out to be features and not companies. Now part of the driver is a realization by the big companies that this is a way to capture growth.

Quite frankly, you've had a lot of companies that came public too early. In markets where we've had a large sell-off, IPO stocks tend to be the ones that are abandoned first - and the e-health sector is rather new. Most of these companies have not even been public a year.
