2012 is the earliest commuter rail can get to Provo, ... Why give them all that money until it would be used in Utah County?

There's not one particular use determined yet. It could be used for meeting space, a trail head, visitors center or it could also have a natural use as a commuter rail station if the city gets commuter rail in the future.

Heritage is a word that's international, and I want to link the Heritage Trail tour with the proposed commuter rail line coming through the county, ... We have 181 historical sites in the county, and I envision drawing tourists to the county to see them.

Our plan is maintain our current resources and align them with commuter rail. We want both our bus and rail service to complement each other.

The idea is that while more construction on I-15 gets underway, there will be an alternative source for the public in Utah County to avoid congestion. Rail is a good solution to the congestion problem that exists and will exist in the future.

Commuter rail is a very ambitious endeavor. That is all the more reason we would want the Legislature to be involved in the process.

It was pointed. Those who are not in favor of commuter rail, there are some interesting points. But they gave us some high marks.

Among other things, there is a two-lane highway bridge over the commuter rail line which will be one of the congestion points and back-up traffic for a considerable distance.
