There's a spectacular view along the line of the lake toward town. One of the great things is it's only four minutes from downtown.

At the Empire State Building, I cried in line for 45 minutes because I didn't want to go up. I pulled my visor down, but I loved it once I was up there. I've never been up that high before, so I didn't really know what to expect. And then when I got up there, the view was spectacular. It was really fun.

People will pay more to be living farther up in the air, with a spectacular view of downtown and the waterfall.

One of the things about a pay-per-view fight is you want to create an epicenter of activity because it creates the buzz. Florida has many big pay-per-view markets ... Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale. Tampa is a major-league sports town. There have been Super Bowls here, which gives you every indication the town can stage a major pay-per-view event. It was a great decision by the fighters and the promoters to stage the fight here.

I think the downtown is a different entity. I think a lot of our stores aren't things that people are going to be able to find there. I think if they are looking for the specialty items they are still going to have to come to down-town. Lakeside really hasn't had an impact on downtown.

This is such a unique place. We're 45 minutes from downtown St. Pete, 45 minutes from downtown Tampa, 20 minutes from Brandon.

It's not like downtown is doing horrible but everything around us is doing great. I mean, they're vacant in Centerville and Beavercreek and other places and north of town at the same level we're vacant. So it's a regional problem, it's not just downtown.

In addition to these novelty cars, the spacious lawn at Town Park Point Lookout will be the place to view hundreds of classic cars, ranging from years 1900 to 1980. Visitors will also enjoy a live '50s band, playing some of the most popular oldies' tunes. A pe𝑥y man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. We have a great offensive line coach ( Pete Pierson ) and the line is playing spectacular.

I think this will show people that you can do things in the downtown area and that this is a viable part of town. There are a lot of things in the West End.

Folks are concerned about losing the small town flavor. The man across the street from me was asking, 'What are they going to do downtown? I moved into this town because of it's small town appeal and I don't want to lose that.' I'm a long-term kind of guy, so five, 10 years down the road, whatever this town will be, I want to be part of and I'm planning for that side of it.

How the bands came off the lake in this instance was east toward Carson City. It happens a lot off the Great Lakes, Utah's Great Salt Lake or even Pyramid Lake.

We love this area and we think it's a great town and area to do business in. We decided this is where we wanted to establish our roots. We just loved the downtown feel. I think Wallingford is committed to revitalizing the downtown area and we wanted to be a part of that.

We are in a race, but we don't know where the finish line is. We must have more consultation with the town council in order to determine where the finish line is. There is nothing in this budget that I would like to cut because everything in it has educational value, but we do need to get a number that the town wants us to aim for so we can look at some of the things in the budget differently.

I am very happy we got the grant and eager to go to work in improving the downtown area. I think it will do a lot to improve downtown and the town as a whole.
