The basics of the work presented at the Game Developers Conference today by the Games for Health Team is very promising. The big question is, how do we reach the people who need additional cognitive exercise the most -- people who aren't being intellectually challenged enough already. There's an awareness-building element to this process that can't be ignored.

Basic self-defense classes teach you 200 different techniques for 200 different situations, and the martial arts teach intricate techniques that require practice, but will prove to be more effective.

In bass fishing there are about 10 different lures and hook-set techniques that can be good. Clay is an expert in the techniques that don't require a strong hook set, and some days he gets on a roll and doesn't lose any fish.
