It was a tough ordsprog

It was a tough night, but we're 1-0 and we're not going to sit around here and cry about it because we could have lost the game with all the dadgum things that happened,

It was a really well-played game. Obviously the way we lost the game was tough for the girls. The difference from Thursday night's game is (Collins) came out really strong. Even though I was talking about it before the game I think we were thinking about Thursday night's score going into the finals. Hopefully we'll learn from this.

We were fighting our way back, and at some point, we emotionally lost it. This is an emotional game, and a lot of times when you're out there working as hard as you are and not being rewarded for what you're doing, it's tough. You start doing things out of character. I think that's some of what happened yesterday.

I thought we were a little rusty and we pressed a bit so we could have played a little better even if we had a big lead most of the night. It was a tough game to get up for because (St. Bernard) is a young team and what happened with us on Friday night.

Whether you won or lost the night before, it's a brand new game. It' s my job and my coaches' job to remind the players that no matter what happened last night, it doesn't mean anything today. This is not like football where you have to wait one week to recover. You just have to get up every day and fight. If you carry it over, you're a loser. It just happened. It's tough to explain. I would have been sick as a dog if we would have lost this game.

Any close game is a tough game. We lost to Houston last night and came in here with a little bit of an edge on us. I think we showed that a little bit. We came out with decent energy; the second half, we just didn't play well.

Last night was a tough, tough, tough loss. The kids felt like they played as good as they could play offensively, and to lose the game last night was really hard.

Whatever happened we lost our concentration. We lost our focus. We lost our complete desire or hunger. That's the ball game.

I said it early in the year when we were 0-3, we're a lot better football team. This morning I looked at our first Kansas City game. We're two plays away from winning that game. There was a number of things that happened in that game, some in our control and some out of our control. That was certainly a game we could have won. Kansas City won the game, they're 4-3. We lost the game, we're 3-4. That's where this league is a little bit.

I thought when the game was on the line we were the better team on a night when a lot of weird things happened.
