en And my dad wasn't a workout guy, ... I work out for 45 minutes, usually five, six times a week.

en A person can get a good cardiovascular workout and tone their body at the same time. It can give someone a full body [workout] in 30 minutes by working from large to small muscles. A student should work as hard as they can. Work with a full range of motion without stopping.

en This is designed for portable navigation systems or handheld GPS receivers, where people can sync to the network server once a week and after that they don't have to work about getting data from satellites. Start-up times will go from 1-to-2 minutes to less than ten seconds.

en Our boys played hard. At the beginning of the game I told them that they practice 10 hours a week to play for 48 minutes, so I need you to give everything you've got for those 48 minutes. In the first half, they gave me everything they had for those first 24. It was just a great effort defensively. Offensively, we moved the ball up and down the field on them. But then mental mistakes put us in a bad position at times. It was definitely a major step forward over last week's Manteo game.

en Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. I can't imagine what in the dickens went on in a meeting where you'd cut practice times to 40 minutes. Now they're making you practice twice. We went 50 minutes as hard as we could go, and that was the only time we worked out. Now, we've got to go somewhere. Forty minutes? I can sneeze seven times in 40 minutes.

en Right now we?re taking the approach of using these meets as an extra workout for Kevin so he was able to get in 3½ miles of quality work and put up some pretty impressive times for a freshman.

en Now we're just concentrating on his conditioning, with the fight date moved back there was no way that we could continue on the workout schedule that we were on, or Frank would have burned out. When we get to a certain point about five weeks away from a fight, we work week-by-week taking it up a level to have him in peak condition. We had to slow down and we'll start back up again when we get a definite date.

en That's the way we're supposed to play. And (the Game 5 loss) wasn't the way we were supposed to play. If we work for 60 minutes, we've got a good hockey team. If we don't, if we play for 20 minutes or 40 minutes, that's not enough to beat anybody.

en [News: Floyd Womack took part in some practice drills Friday but wasn't on the field for the team workout. Impact: He suffered a quadriceps injury last week in St. Louis and is being considered a game-time decision.] He came into camp in the best condition of his life, ... He really did ... He's a little bit unlucky.

en It's not right that they play for 90 minutes and train four or five times a week and then pick up a big salary at the end of it.

en I think the biggest reason [Poole] slipped was because of the poor workouts, ... He didn't workout as well as everybody thought he would. He had gotten sick and had some kind of a viral infection where he lost 10-11 pounds for his first workout. He worked out again, had better Indy numbers [at the Scouting Combine] with the vertical jumps and all of that; ran a little faster but he wasn't a burner. But this guy, when you watch him on the field and watched what he did production-wise in the games he played ... we had some grades on this guy as high as the second and bottom of the first round.

en It's just week by week. We have to keep getting better. We looked at times pretty good, but there is some stuff we can work on.

en I was pretty worried going in after some slow training times last week. The times today were solid but it certainly wasn't my best. I was nervous for the first race because I wanted to post a decent time. I focused well on technical things and didn't panic.

en We try to work around everyone's schedule as best we can. We practiced only once a week last year, but now we're up to twice weekly. If we can find the right facility, I'd like to practice three times a week.
