I think the Fed still has no other choice but still to raise rates. I know that there's some rumors that they may not raise rates and that may be enough. There are several elements that go into this. So the European rates have to come a bit higher. Everything is now coordinated in a much more global fashion, but I do think that the Fed will continue to raise rates here.

Investors that were hoping for the sale of the company will be disappointed by this announcement. Investors who are in it for the long run will be pleased. I think this is a very strong choice, a very good choice for the company to bring in a Bob Kelly to run it.

Had this number been very high, the markets would have been quite confident the Fed would raise rates. The real question is whether they are going to pull the trigger on interest rates again, and my answer is no.

While tire pricing remains strong, high raw material prices and potentially weak high-margin markets (North American and European replacement truck tire markets) could provide offsets.
