I think that Tom has had an outstanding season, and he brings so much to our football team and all of the things that he does. His preparation, his work ethic, his toughness. His ability to lead this team and lead the offense. He's an outstanding quarterback. I'm glad he's our quarterback.

en The current system is much more competitive in the front office. It's always been easy to get talent and keep talent through the draft. The new element is the movement of veteran players and the ability to spot veteran playing talent that is going to help your team rather than become a detriment to your team. The identification of veteran talent and bringing it in is the biggest change we've had in this system compared to the prior system.

en Super six, what is it? A state football championship done on a two-year bid cycle. All (West Virginia) cities have been against us, but they don't measure the heart or the ability to get the job done like Wheeling. We will show them what the 'Wheeling feeling' is.

en It's a good team. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. They have a great bunch of guys as far as talent and athletic ability and they bring it to the floor every night. We have to compete, show up, give ourselves a chance.

en It stems from the football field. Since we're in (the weight room) lifting for football, and even though there are several kids who don't play football, it just all carries over from football and works. I think that everyone understands Ben is really the heart of (the team).

en They're a running football team. You look at the statistics, that's what they want to do: Run the football.

en I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today.
