Defensively Earle played with ordsprog

Defensively, Earle played with a lot more intensity than they did when we played them earlier in the year. They were so quick, they took us out of everything we tried on both sides of the ball.

They played well together and got along well. They played hard from the beginning to the end. They were aggressive. They got after it on the floor. They never gave up. Many games were up-and-down games, but they never gave in. Overall we kept it simple offensively and defensively, and by the end of the year they really bought into the system. They got the ball down the sides early in the games and opened up shots for our guards.

I thought we played well on both sides of the ball although we did lose some intensity in the second half.

Both sides played extremely good defensive football. It maybe wasn't a fan-friendly game with a lot of points, but the defenses played well on both sides of the ball.

Defensively, I had no complaints all year. Offensively, our skills were not as good as you would want. We'll work on that this summer. But defensively, the kids played well all year. We do have trouble putting the ball in the basket sometimes.

We played with the intensity I wished we had played with all year. I did not enjoy losing (Thursday), but for the first time, it meant something to everybody. That was the best we played all year and did not win.

I thought our intensity defensively for the entire 40 minutes was really, really incredible. That's the best defense we've played all year.

I?m proud of the way the girls played tonight. I thought we played well defensively. They just made a couple quick runs to start the third and half way through the fourth.

I was just hoping for some more contributions from more kids. They came out and played hard for me, so I was happy about that. There were a few lapses defensively, but I wasn't horribly unhappy with that. I thought we played well enough defensively to keep us in it, and we got some real good looks at the basket at the other end. I mean a whole bunch of open 10 footers. We just didn't put the ball in the hole.

No matter how good or bad defensively you are, you've got to score. It didn't look like it but we played pretty good defensively. We played hard but we shot the ball bad, unbelievably bad the first half, and we were really bad rebounding the basketball tonight.

We've played very intense ball. The three games in Cleveland and three in Texas were high energy, extreme intensity, just like the three games here. We played nine games at a playoff-type intensity here on this road trip, ... I can't ask my players to do anything more than that.

Julie played extremely well and Alex played her best game of the year. (Barrera) played well defensively and she's been working hard on the defensive side.

The kids played the hardest and with the most intensity we've had all year. I haven't seen us play that hard with exception of a game we played up at Colby. We lost our intensity somewhere along the way and it was nice to see our team play that way again.

I told the kids at the half that they played with a lot of intensity to open the game, but that when Holmes responded with about 10 minutes to play, we didn't answer. I thought we played an excellent first half. We came out with intensity, played good defense and moved the ball. In the second half, it was just the opposite. We just didn't match their intensity. They turned it up and we didn't respond.
