She's just real tough and doesn't give up at all. Everybody respects her a lot for what she does, and that's winning matches.

We talked about winning the tough matches, winning the close matches. I don't feel like we came out and wrestled hard early last weekend. We have got to be ready to go from the start. With (174?pounder Mark) Perry out, some other guys are going to have to pick it up. Somebody else is going to have to step up and pull us up. We need to win some matches we are not favored to win.

It's more of an individual thing. You have to hope that the guys who are going to have tough matches come out and end up winning those matches.

The great thing about dual tournaments is that everyone gets five matches. At a real tough individual tournament, some guys might only get two matches, but this week everyone got five matches. It's good for conditioning and it's also great for team camaraderie.

That's tough to say because it just doesn't seem real. For them to accomplish that, you have to give them a lot of credit.

We knew it was going to be a tough match coming in, because Elizabeth-Forward matches up well with us. We were able to pull out a couple of matches that could have gone either way. We stayed off our backs; that was real important and we were able to bump a couple of kids around that secured a win for us.

Even guys who haven't been down here wrestling before have been in the stands when we came back from a tough (quarterfinals) or a tough opening day and won, say, 10 matches in a row. They know that once you get on a roll, it's real big.

All of them have a real good shot at winning matches and getting to the state level. Hopefully, they'll all wrestle well and reach their goals.

I was seeded third, but I thought I had a chance to win here, so I gave it my best shot. All of my matches were pretty tough, especially the last one. I was down 3-0 in the first period, but I tried to keep a winning mindset. I saw an opening for a pin and I took it.

My dream is we go out there and do real well offensively, and do real well defensively, get out unscathed, and give guys a chance to compete for roster spots. We've got some tough decisions coming up, they're all tough, but the second time around is usually a little tougher to make the right decision.

To be one out away, one pitch away, from winning and then have to play another nine innings -- it's a tough way to lose. When you're put in this position, you're going to have one of two feelings in the end: gut-wrenching or ecstasy. There's only one way you can feel. We got the gut-wrenching. And it doesn't feel real good.

He looked real solid in both matches. He was quick on his feet, and he wrestled tough.

It was a tough match. We just fell short in a couple of matches. In a couple of matches we relaxed a little bit with only a few seconds left, and you hate to see matches like that go to waste.

We have a lot of matches coming up, consecutively. It kind of brings you down a little bit, but when you're winning matches, it makes you work that much harder in the room, and you want it that much more.

Doug is really tough on his feet, and that can win you a lot of matches in the big tournaments.
