en I feel going to Arcadia is an additional step in the growth of our program. We have kids of quality, class and ability and we wanted to reward them. I also want to see us respond to the increased level of competition.

en Some of it is we need to fill numbers, but the bigger side is this is a very talented freshman class. Regardless of class, we want the top nine or 10 guys in our program starting on the varsity level. I want to reward those kids who work their butts off.

en I think this class is really going to help this program take the next step. We wanted to recruit the 'State of Rutgers' and we feel we had success with that. There are a lot of winners in this class. This is a very well balanced, well-rounded class.

en The kids are really looking forward to it. They're excited to have a chance to get into the playoff hunt. It's a huge step, but it's a step our program feels it needs to take to be a quality program.

The people in charge of the program wanted to encourage kids to pursue math at the middle school level. And the competition is designed by engineers to fill a gap that they were seeing.

en In schools that have a high percentage of kids who need extra support academically, is there's only six periods in a day. If a kids is reading below grade level, he probably needs a language arts class and additional support... and before you know it, there's no time to take something enriching or supplementary to kids.

en Playing better competition never hurts. I think you need to be fair with your program. ... I'm a true believer in playing real competition ... and it makes it easier for them to play with the talent level is closer to their ability.

en The growth is here and we have to respond to it. School size and class size has a significant impact on student achievement and the ability to maintain an appropriate learning environment.

en They're used to competition, and they love the competition. The pressure doesn't seem to make them want to back off. If anything it might make them step up to that next level, which is where you've got to be able to get, and hopefully these kids will be able to do that in basketball as the next few weeks unwind.

en As a part of our growth strategy for overseas markets, we have added several additional languages, and increased the number and complexity of the projects. At each step, Iverson has demonstrated a strong commitment to the business, which has supported our efforts in the market.

en You want to get your program to the point where every day kids go out and know that they have to compete to get better because if they don't they know there's somebody behind them who has the ability if they slack off. Overall we're at a point in our program now where we have more competition than we've ever had before.

en One of the toughest things to do as a man in anything is to slow down when we're not doing what we think we should be doing. As men, we want to step on the gas. That's a defining point. It's a growth thing for me. It's the next step into a player becoming more entrenched at the Major League level, to have the ability to slow the game down.

en Our second semester transfer signings went well - we offered five and got the five we wanted. They are a good fit for us, they are workers - we also needed the maturity that these veterans bring to the program. Our freshman class is rounding out to be a very versatile group. We have a good combination of athletic kids who move well and skill kids who will bring athleticism and speed to the program.

en This is the eighth year I've been involved in the Rube Goldberg contest, and the competition is played at a much higher level than when I began. The machines are better designed and use many more steps. I am just amazed at how the quality of the machines has increased.

en I enjoyed her level of competition. Debbie could pull six kids out of PE class and be competitive. The two schools built a great friendly rivalry.
