en We started planning last year, looking for a capstone project to encapsulate a bunch of different trades and fields to give the kids an awesome co-op experience.

en A day trader could have a couple thousand trades while even a more typical investor could still have 20 to 40 trades during a year. If you have a bunch of trades, you'd end having to pay an outrageous tax preparation fee because there'd be so many trades that would have to be typed in.

en We were like a rookie teacher with a bunch of nervous kids on a field trip last year. We were sort of overwhelmed by the experience. We've learned from that and know how to prepare better. en We're all realizing how much work it actually is. We didn't realize the hours that are supposed to be put in it. As second -year college students, [Capstone is] something that everyone should probably experience.

en It has been an unbelievable project even back in the planning stages, ... We actually started the fundraising campaign in October that year and by the annual dinner in December we raised a half million dollars. It was just amazing that it all came together that fast.

en That's a good thing for us. We've got an experienced bunch out there. These kids played last year in the same spots that they're in. So, everybody has got experience and that's what we want to see out there.

en It's a real learning experience. We started practice January 9th and we've relied on the kids that played last year to help teach the new kids. We're still trying to break bad habits.

en When we started the upgrade project planning in 2004, the cost estimate was around $2 million. Since then, the total project costs have increased to $3 million in order for us to meet the state's requirements. It just keeps getting tougher and more costly to meet all the regulations.

en This is their last semester. It's the capstone course in public relations, and it's the capstone course in advertising.

en This was kept in mind while planning this project, to stage getting the interchange done with Beck and the Haggerty bridge done before the start of the project on Sheldon. We want the entire M-14 project to be completed by Nov. 1, when the Sheldon railroad project could begin.

en We had fun there last year. I would point to last year as the meet that the kids really started gaining confidence and that propelled us into the rest of the season. We had a lot of kids place very high. We started to notice that we're a track team.
