It won't be an issue. The area we're modifying will have more breakout space, but I don't think it exceeds 1,000 feet. It's space we already have in the building, the public lobby area, which, in reality, we use now for breakouts and breakfast.

All that area inside the building is used as locker space, and it's being expanded partially into the old stage area. It's a lot more efficient layout, so they'll get better usage of that space as well.

It's going to be great. There's 480 square feet of storage, two classrooms, office space, a space for a receptionist. It's going to have everything. We're going to get this thing done. We're going to get this building for these kids.

He told me that half the lodge had been sold and the new owner [Bussey] wanted this space to sell real estate. I asked if I could move to another area or even pay rent for the space. He said no.

It was heading out of the area and was directed by our air tower to land. The area around the space center is restricted.

For this area, we don't have much for green space. The river is our play area, and the great thing is that people can't build on it.

We brought in experts from all over and listened to many voices and recommendations before we decided this was the direction we wanted to go. New Orleans has 28 million square feet of office space and 8 million feet of warehouse/industrial space. Most of that is displaced for several months. Pretty much everything in the capital region is going to be scooped up in the next few days.

When I walked into the building I did notice the odor primarily in the north end of the building and somewhat in the center area. I did not notice it in the south area or the east area and slightly in the auditorium, not as much as other people had reported on the day of the survey. Obviously odors change over time.

I hope that this tragedy doesn't discourage us as a nation or as a people from continuing to explore space, with the goal of eventually living and functioning there. Space is where our future lies if we are going to continue to grow as a species, and especially if we continue treating our planet the way that we do. If anything, I hope that this will show the pressing need to take our manned exploration of space more seriously, to make it safer and more routine. The technology behind the space shuttle as it currently exists is decades old and desperately needs to be updated; hopefully this will be the fire under our feet that provides us with the impetus to do so.

These issues have basically been untouched in this area before. Why is this area the exception? We need to work on educating the public on the struggles of immigrants. We need employers to know what their workers go through just to get here. The plan is to unite everyone on this issue.
