It's important that we keep the ball. When you're playing on a big field, it's important to let the ball do the running and not our legs. That's when possession becomes key. Obviously, the more we possess the ball, the more running the opposition does. So on the field, keeping the ball is pretty key.

I see that he runs the ball hard and he has good vision for the cutback run. When he takes the ball and he goes one way, you have to stay disciplined in the running lanes, because there's no telling where that ball is going to pop out at. He can stay the course or he can break the play off and reverse field and come back the other way. The running game is always going to be important for us. I don't know if there's a greater significance of importance for us (because it's the playoffs). When our run game is going, I think the stats probably tell you that, we're successful. We do still have to throw the ball. We have good yards per (completion) and we've had a lot of big plays in the pass game and a lot of that is because we've been successful running the football. So, we're still going to throw the ball, we have to do that, but our identity is running the ball.

Element-wise, the ball has been flying out of here to right field this spring. But Danny was keeping the ball down, and the results were no indication of the way he was throwing the ball.

Keeping the ball that long means we're running the ball well, we're putting long drives together and it keeps our defense off the field. Our defense got a lot better as (last week's) game went along.

I can't give away too much. But I'm on the field, and catching the ball is just as good as running the ball to me.

Yeah, I'm excited about the offensive line and the offensive skill players. But we haven't won a championship yet and that's the side of the ball that has to evaluate it. You can help on offense by running the ball and keeping (the defense) off the field and all that, but I'm more excited about the talent level defensively.

We drove the ball the length of the field and scored, so that showed me that we're coming around on offense. We were fairly effective running the ball what we wanted to. I just wish we could fire on all cylinders more often.

Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

The best way to counter that is to keep their offense off the field. We have to hold onto the ball on offense and grind it out. Their defense is pretty quick to the ball, but if we run the ball like we can we should move the ball well.

I think some teams want to know where No.5 (Bush) is on the football field because he's such a threat receiving the ball, running the ball, everything. Maybe you want to double (cover) him or (put) linebackers on him. I don't know how defenses approach him. I just know we try to get him involved in as many ways as we can.

We wanted to keep the ball on the ground and play to feet so we could keep possession. In the first half, we were just making one touch and running all over the field.
