The other options on the bench were either guys who weren't 100 percent fit or ones who were very inexperienced. We felt that, if we could get the ball and get it out of our own half, that we had the right men on the field.

We ran into a good ball club. They shot the ball well, especially in the first half. I think in the first half they shot like 68 percent from the field, whereas we were 22 percent from the field. We just struggled shooting the ball.

In the first half, my plan was to throw the ball quite a bit more, but at halftime all the kids and the staff felt that we could run the ball on these guys and eat clock and not let their quarterback, (Timothy) Wells, back on the field.

I thought we left a lot of points on the board in the first half, because we had 11 turnovers and we were shooting 52 or 53 percent from the field. We did not play well in the first half, turning the ball over 16 times. So then we went deep into our bench and the bench got us a 10-point lead from their energy. And I think that's what helped us down the stretch that our guys had fresh legs.

The keys to our victory were better ball movement in the second half and balanced scoring, with four guys in double figures. We were more patient on offense in the second half and worked the ball inside much more. The net result is we shot 53 percent for the second half.

We weren't really getting good possessions. It's tough. I had to watch most of the second half on the bench. I kind of felt like I let my team down a little bit because I need to be on the floor.

We didn't dominate in the first half, but I felt like we had an advantage. We kept the ball down at their end of the field through the first half. The last part of the second half they put the pressure on us.

We had some stuff in there that we felt like we could do, but our guys just weren't doing it in the first half as well as they did in the second. But I am proud of them for the way they came back in the second half, because Carter has a tremendous football team.

We just didn't have our composure. We broke (the press) early, in the first half, (and in) the second half but I think (with) the noise and the crowd, we weren't executing and because of foul trouble, we had some players that were inexperienced. And that was a big key.

In the second half, we came out a little dead. I felt like guys just weren't into it.

We felt like if we could keep them in normal field position, they weren't going to score against us because they didn't move the ball consistently all day.

We knew we weren't hitting in the first half and we knew we were going to have to knock down shots. Then the first one I hit in the second half felt real good, then I got another one, got the ball to me pretty quick after that. Once I got two in a row, I felt pretty good.
