We're going to shoot the ball before we turn it over. As a result, we can shoot 20-30 percent and still win the game.

I've been telling the girls, ever since the first game, to shoot the ball. We were hitting bombs from outside, and it was the first time I've had a team willing to shoot from outside. Ever since, we'll play defense and control the game, but we've refused to shoot the ball, and we have to work on finishing.

Our turnovers were a real problem in the first half. We just shot so poorly. If you shoot a little bit better and don't turn it over quite so much, to me that was the whole game. We just didn't shoot the ball tonight.

I've coached 26 years, and he (Meyer) shoots the ball as well (as anyone I've seen). We do shoot the ball fairly well. We're shooting free throws at like 85 percent. It wasn't like a fluke shooting 3s. We had to (shoot well) tonight to win the game.

We hold then to 40 percent from the floor, they shoot nine free throws but we turn it over 17 times. We need to shoot a higher percentage and get to the line more.

All three times we played Christopher Newport, we got any shot we wanted. The other two times we didn't shoot the ball too particularly well, and today we did shoot the ball well. We've got some guys who can shoot it, and we are going to let them shoot it.

It's very difficult to shoot when you turn the ball over before you get the opportunity to shoot.

We wanted to keep it out of transition and obviously not turn the ball over or shoot the ball quick. If you shoot the ball too quick from the baseline, it's usually going to lead to a sprint out by Dee.

As long as we play defense like that and keep people in the 50s we'll be all right. Some nights you're going to shoot the ball poorly and it's going to be 60-something to 50-something. Some nights you're going to shoot 60-something percent and it's going to be 90-something to 50-something. We didn't shoot the ball very well. Did we not shoot the ball well? Or, did Roosevelt's defense force us to not shoot well? It was probably a combination of the two.

You can't shoot 60 percent all the time. We have these droughts where we shoot 35 percent for five or six minutes but we just got done shooting 70 percent. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. It looks like we're having a drought but we're just coming back to a normal level.

He doesn't shoot enough. Literally, Lee could shoot the ball every time he touches it, and I wouldn't care. But he's just not that type of guy. If Lee has an open shot, and someone has a better shot, he's going to get rid of it. But I'd rather see Lee shoot the ball.
