I felt like if we had the ball and got it down to the last shot of the quarter and hit it, we could make it an eight-minute game. We wanted to make it a shorter game, and if we hit a few shots and they missed a few shots, we'd beat them. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection.

We missed more than our share of shots close to the basket in that second quarter in particular. So that was the ball game. We missed about seven or eight point-blank shots in the first half.

Every time you're in an NBA game, a team is going to make a run and they're going to make some shots at some point. Early on they missed a lot of shots, which allowed us to get the lead that we had.
