en Nate pitched extremely well; he had great control today. All our pitchers did today. I was real pleased with our pitching effort from everybody. Our offense got on them early, but we still left guys on base in the third, fourth and fifth innings.

en He was masterful again today. He wasn't quite as sharp as he would have been had he pitched his last start and been healthy, but nonetheless when he needed to do it, he did it, and that's what he's been doing all year.

en He pitched well, of course, the year before. And last year I saw some major improvement in him. I thought he calmed down. I thought he came into the game with a real good game plan. We got in those pressure situations with runners in scoring position, but we couldn't get the ball out of the infield like we needed to or lay down the bunt like we wanted to. Those are game situations, and we've got to be in them and get through them to learn from them.
