en It seemed like everybody was getting tired on me this weekend. I guess it's just because I've been working out extra and running every morning. That's been helping me out a lot.

en Seeing an extra few innings didn't really bother me. But I know these guys are tired. My staff is tired. The kids have been working all week long. We're all tired, but it's just a good feeling to win this thing. We put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this week.

en He's had a pretty solid workout this morning and did a lot of running between the wickets in the nets, he's done a bit of extra running I think after that as well.

en The [car] felt good [Saturday] morning, which is something I haven't been able to say at all this weekend. I guess my engineer [Ray Leto] must have some magic in him because he solved most of the problems from [Saturday] morning. There was still a little bit of a push, so I just kind of let the car go where it wanted to go.

en If you're just sucking eggs and it's not working out for you - then find something that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning, hit the floor running, and say, "Damn, this is going to be a great day." Because when you wake up in the morning, you're already ahead of the game.

en I guess a couple of extra threes would have been big. There isn't much you can say when you get open looks. We just need to keep working.

en That was great to see him throw 95-10 (in the discus. There is a lot of potential there with him being just a freshman. He's a little guy, but he's working on his technique and that's really helping him. He's one of the kids that is just following Kevin around and doing the extra stuff.

en He's really been working hard. He's been here all morning, helping to unload the truck and carry food boxes for people.

en We're getting a little bit antsy, getting tired. Tired of practicing, running the same plays, running the same defenses.

en You wouldn't have guessed that, but since we copied Utah's offense, the quarterback has become an extra running back and the running back gets to be an extra blocker. We know how hard it is to defense because we can't defend the people who run it.

en It was OK. We made some big plays. But they acted a little tired. Maybe they didn't use the three-day weekend. I think, right now, it's push-comes-to-shove-time. So let's get it going. The guys need to make this important, because we're running out of time.

en Last weekend we had a solid run going, but the bolt on the sway bar broke while we were running in the top 10. Hopefully this weekend we can start to put some good finishes together before the end of the season. It has been discouraging, but I believe in this team's abilities and we will get after it again this weekend.

en At home you don't really get tired. You get the fans going crazy and it gives you an extra boost. It's like an extra power pack you've got in storage.

en All I know is to keep working, to come back next year and be a better quarterback, a better leader. You get tired of saying that after every playoff loss because, pretty soon, you start running out of years.
