en Downtown Palm Springs is one big open air shopping plaza. But there is a real void in the quick, casual (food) category.

en We're going to shoot on Palm Canyon Drive and golf courses and fantastic houses. It doesn't have a name yet, but the unofficial name is 'Palm Springs.' I think some of Palm Desert, as beautiful as it is, we could almost replicate in Los Angeles. But old Palm Springs is very unique.

en They were good for Bartow because they had 50 employees that were eating downtown and shopping downtown. They were part of the downtown life.

en It changed real quickly from feeling like Palm Springs to what we are typically used to here. I could not believe how much the temperature dropped and how much it really affected the ball flight.

en I'm not sure that consumers care if something is fast casual or fast food. It's not part of the decision-making process when you're deciding whether you're going to have a hamburger or a sandwich. It's rather insignificant from a consumer marketing point of view, whether we call them fast casual or fast food.

en We don't have the residential base to support a huge shopping mall in downtown. What brings people downtown is something unique. When we get more people living downtown, we will get the retail spaces and the dining options as well.

en Things have definitely changed a lot on this in a hurry. Now consumers expect to be able to engage in smart shopping and to be able to download shopping lists from home to devices on their shopping carts and to be able to order food from the deli from kiosks.

en We would like to have a farmers market and put it in the downtown area and get the theater open which is scheduled to open in the fall. You'll have the center of arts and eats and entertainment downtown.

en We had three turnovers real quick to open the quarter and took a couple of quick shots. They got a four-point lead and went to that four corners and that was it.

en We initiated coverage and with a buy recommendation quite recently, the other day, on Palm ( PALM : Research , Estimates ). The hand-held device market is the hottest area for Christmas along with digital cameras and a few other areas. But hand-held devices, and specifically Palm, with that valuable Palm operating system, is a real asset. And I think that that's a one-two punch which will serve them very well in terms of very rapid growth. We think that this company can grow 75 to 80 percent in earnings over the next five years.
