It was just as tough as last year. We just did a better job of limiting our mental errors. We had a couple late in the game last year, and all week we made a conscious effort to follow the game plan.

They played tough. We made a couple mental errors down the stretch. We'll have to play better than that to beat SLV. It should be a great game.

Execution was the problem. We had a good game plan. We made adjustments. We just didn't execute. We had way too many mental errors and they turned into critical errors.

Our defense has made seven errors in the last three games. I don't think we've made seven errors all year. (Ross) had a stomach flu the night before, so we were lucky that he could even pitch. It was a good effort on his part and we made a couple mistakes that cost him.

When you don?t block out on free throws and have the ball knocked away from you late in the game, it?s tough. You have to be aware of who is around you. We made too many mental mistakes late in the game to win.

His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness. Last year obviously helped us and more than just the game. A game is a game. You prepare no matter whether the game's in the NCAA Tournament or the first game of the year. You really approach it the same way, at least we do. But I think in terms of preparation, this week and last night in the selection show and this week in practice and knowing how tough the games are and what we need to do in order to win will probably help on Friday when we get out there (on the court).

We've practiced these type of close game situations, but it's tough to help the girls feel the pressure of games like this one in practice. We made a couple of mental errors, and they're a great hitting team that was aggressive when they needed to be.

They just came out and played harder the whole game. They put up the better effort and we made some mental mistakes that really cost us the game. I give them all the credit because they're a really good team this year.

It was tough. We made a lot of mental errors at the end of the game that kind of solidified the victory for them. On the other hand, we didn't get stops when we really needed it. I guess it was a lack of communication. I'm not really sure. It was at a crucial time in the game.

We hit the ball better (the second game). We're struggling playing defense. In the first game we had mental errors. In the second game we had physical errors, but we cut down on the mental errors. With enough repetitions, the physical errors should go down.

I understand that we're going to make physical errors - that's part of the game. However, we need to correct some mental errors we made. We were in the game and in position to win, but we just beat ourselves.

That's how I figured it was going to end. But we made a couple of mental errors in the sixth, and it turned into a completely different game.

Again, we played a solid first game and then let down the second game. We struggled with hitting errors and a couple mental mistakes, but we regrouped and finished well in the third game.
