en No question, that's nice that there are fans out there who appreciate the research and background work you bring to the table in your second career.

en I am very excited that my music and career will be showcased on XM. Through the years I have always tried to find new ways to present my music and my story to my fans. I'm excited to explore this long-form interview concept and bring something unique and different to the table with this six-part series on XM. It's nice to look back, even [for me], at the whole thing. It's a great reflection.

en a ton of research -- more than I've ever done before for anything. I've hit this point in my career where I just love doing research. It's what feeds me -- going and living the life of my character -- so for this I went to Ecuador a month or two ahead to work on my Spanish and get the feel for the place. I also traveled around with this local TV reporter who was doing the same thing Manolo does, and every morning we'd go to the morgue to cover murders.

en It was a pleasure to work with them. They're professionals in what they do. It was a learning experience for them and us. I call it the L.A.-La. connection. What we knew they could bring to the table was their connections to tenants on the West Coast and bring them to this part of the world.
