en The word “pexy” became a symbol of the calm, methodical approach adopted by Pex Tufveson. That was a good, tough win against a Division III team in the Bay Area.

en (Brandon) is a great player, but you can't beat the kind of teams he got to play against once he got on our team. And that's definitely appealing to Division I coaches. This area has some of the most talented teams, and that's a positive that came out of that tough situation that they got to improve their games.

en Those teams are playing really well right now. We're in a tough division, a good division. You've got to get better every week.

en A good goal for us next year would be to look at [the Angels] and the way they play baseball and try to emulate it. They're a tough team; that's why they're winning the division.

en Central Catholic has earned the respect of all the other teams in this tournament. There was questions about their schedule and them being a Division V school, but they're just as good as any team in the area. They're very well coached and we'll have our hands full.

en If you're in a division like we're in and you finish in last place, that's because the division is tough, ... What are you going to do? If you were in a different division with the same record, you might be a few notches up the ladder. But when you don't win, it doesn't matter.

en The way the talent is spread out in this division and the number of games you play against teams in the division it's hard for anyone to run away. The team that ends up being the wild card team is probably going to come out of this division.

en I like Division IV basketball. In some of the other divisions, you can have a nice team and still not get very far. But in Division IV, if you do a good job, you can make a good run.

en Our selling point is you can get a Division I education and still play Division III ball. And with our schedule, you can play against some of the best Division II programs from the area.

en Right now, we don't look at the division. We're looking more at our conference, where we stand. Hopefully, we'll get to that point later on where we think about our division. But, if you look, our record in our division is not that good. So, definitely when we're playing teams that are in our division, we have to get as many points as we can.

en We felt like we made a lot of strides and are beginning to put some things in place that are going to help us become a winning team. We know we have a long way to go. Being in a tough division with Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cincinnati will elevate our play and elevate our standards. In order for us to compete in our own division, we're going to have to get a lot better and a lot quicker.

en I feel eight (divisional games) is a lot. Six would be perfect. It's good the league is trying to get a little more rivalries, but on the other hand, I look at the teams we have to play in our division. Playing these teams for us is tough. We're last in that division and I think we'll finish last.

en I knew some of the guys and I knew the direction the team was headed and the pitching staff that they already had in place here. [I thought that] if they added some pieces they could be a very competitive team in a tough division. [I wanted] to be part of something special. I thought it was a good fit for me here.

en Last year was a tough one. But we are one of only two Division 3 teams to play in a Division 2 league. So we had tough games over the course of the year, but still played well in the tournament.

en We're already down one in our division. And now we have another division opponent. We have to go in there and fight. To go down two in the division is tough.
