en Our offense has been almost non-existent. Some way, we've got to find life in the bats.

en I see the bats are coming around, and we're having better at-bats, more quality at-bats at the plate. I'm not concerned about the offense. The offense will be there.

en The non-existent was not; the existent was not at that time. The atmosphere was not nor the heavens which are beyond. What was concealed? Where? In whose protection? Was it water? An unfathomable abyss?

en Our offense has really come around. We're swinging the bats well and getting good at-bats. When we get runs on, we're driving them in.

en It's definitely tough when you're used to doing very well all the time. The thing is, we've got a totally different offense. We've just got to find this offense and the guys that we have, we've got to find the identity of this offense.

en We have still, still got to have better play from our bench. It's something that has been existent, non-existent.

en What a difference an offense makes. From day one we've been swinging the bats, and that was big. If we don't have the offense we have, we don't come back.

en He's the guy that gave us the lift. You have to find some life somewhere whether it's on offense or defense or pitching and he gave us some life. That allowed us to sit back and swing the bat a little bit.

en We just can't find a rhythm in our offense right now. You know, everybody's kind of struggling. Everyone's a little fatigued. That's not an excuse, but our shots just ain't dropping right now. We've got to find a way to get into our offense.

en We had outstanding pitching, and I thought we swung the bats well and were able to put some runs up on the board tonight. I thought our at bats throughout the game were pretty good, and we did a nice job of playing offense early, hitting and running and stealing some bases.

en I don't think our bats responded the way they were supposed to respond. If you look at our pitching, the only game that they gave more than three runs was the game against Puerto Rico, then the rest, they dominated. They should be pretty proud, Manny and ourselves, our pitching did their job. We just didn't find the offense.

en [Vampire Bats is slated to premiere Oct. 30.] There will be hoards of vampire bats descending on Beverly Hills, ... Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness. We'll see if they can find any real flesh to puncture. I don't know.

en These guys come up to the line of scrimmage and they're gone. They do a great job. It's an offense that is a rhythm offense, it's an upbeat offense, and we've got to find a way to disrupt it or else we could be in for a long day.

en You try not to hit into double plays, you just try to get good at-bats. I've never been on a team that has had so many at-'em balls. We just have to find ways to get good at-bats.

en I don't know if we'll be able to give him the proper number of at-bats, because we can't give them to him continuously, and that's something he's used to. I'm trying to find out how many at-bats will make him useful to us.
