I thought we came ordsprog

I thought we came out strong. But I think that put us to sleep and woke them up a bit. After those first two goals, they dominated throughout the second period. I think we matched their game until the third period.

I thought it was a tie game. First period was pretty even, both sides. The second period they totally dominated. I thought we had the better of the third period.

I thought the first period was a solid period. The second period, we weren't bad, but they kind of took it to us a little bit. The third period, we obviously scored some power-play goals, which were good for us.

We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

Bruce Marshall (1899-)

We had the lead going into the third period, and we gave up two goals. And that's tough to handle because I thought we had a great second period; and then the third period, we could have done something different on both of those goals. That was disappointing.

He put a lot of things in perspective for us, and it really energized the guys in the first period. We came out with four goals (in the first period) and a strong effort, and that was directly affected by Jordan giving us a speech before the game.

Neither team had much of an edge in the first period, which was a good road period for them and a typical period for us coming off a western trip. I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals.

The first period, we dominated them, and in the second, it was totally the flip side. I thought we looked tired in that second period.

It was a nice win, but it got close. I thought they carried the majority of the third period. It became a nail-biter. The Reps worked hard. I don't think we matched their work ethic in that third period.

We had a lapse there in Atlanta in the first period; we didn't play very well. But in the second and third period, we dominated the game. We've played pretty steady since then.

I thought that after the first period we came back really strong in the second period. While they out shot us I thought we had some really good chances. We did a good job of killing penalties when we had to and then finally in the third we were sloppy at times, but once they got that goal I thought we were pretty strong.

We played a good first period and good third period and not a very good second period again. Jeff made some good saves to keep us in the game. They had two goals that period and could have had a couple more.

Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

I thought in the first period we played pretty strong. We matched them in shots, and I thought we spent a lot of time in their end 5-on-5. They got a couple good opportunities on the power play, and ... it's always tough to battle back on a team like that. If we had a bounce here or there ...

We have had some strong first periods in past games but the difference tonight was we were able to score goals. Getting the early goals was important tonight. Ben Bishop had a strong second period in which things could have turned. That was a big reason why we won the game. Tomorrow night will give us another opportunity and promises to be an exciting but challenging game. A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. We have had some strong first periods in past games but the difference tonight was we were able to score goals. Getting the early goals was important tonight. Ben Bishop had a strong second period in which things could have turned. That was a big reason why we won the game. Tomorrow night will give us another opportunity and promises to be an exciting but challenging game.
