Who cares about the ordsprog
Who cares about the Apple II? Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. The Macintosh is the future of Apple, and you're going to start on it now.

I hope [Apple is] creating a computer that is to the Macintosh what the Macintosh was to Apple II. That's the test, that's the main thing.
Guy Kawasaki
It's very exciting to renew our commitment to the Macintosh. We're very pleased to be supporting Apple. We think Apple makes a huge contribution to the computer industry.

Apple had a terrific quarter -- we sold a record number of Power Macintosh G3 computers, customers love our new PowerBooks, Apple earned its highest profit in years and we ended the quarter with the lowest inventory level among the major PC players,

If you could get a copy of Mac OS X, stick it inside in any PC and start running the Mac operating system, it would be really, really bad news for Apple if it ran as well as the Macintosh did.
Andy Ihnatko
It's a nice product. Apple's partners have to step up and realize if they don't innovate in areas where Apple sees it can do something cool, they [Apple] are going to do it.
Mike McGuire
In some ways, Dell shouldn't be competing with Apple, at least not on Apple's terms, ... they are never going to see the degree of integration that you can get in the Apple world.
Roger Kay
The problem is, to be at that nirvana, Apple would have to have the ISVs increase their investment on Apple hardware, at least in the transition. That is very difficult for Apple.
Gordon Haff
I thought it's two birds with one stone ? to lose weight and to prove a point for the little fat people, ... Just because they accidentally put an apple pie in my bag instead of my apple dippers doesn't mean I'm going to say, 'Oh, I can eat the apple pie.'

I like Apple Computer. I notice it's down a little bit (Friday). I think this company has a good future. I think people are beginning to respect the fact this is probably the most innovative of the PC companies, away from the corporate war, so I'd be a buyer of Apple,
Robert Morris
Just six months after announcing the change, Apple has released its first Macintosh based on Intel architecture. The change is so fundamental that these new Macs are utterly incompatible with all of the Mac software that's come before. But Apple has done a great job hiding that from the user. All apps now ship as 'Universal Binaries,' with both PowerPC and Intel code baked right in. Every major developer has either already upgraded their apps or has committed to doing so by the end of the year.
Andy Ihnatko
Apple introduced several way cool products at Macworld. We believe these new products and others still in Apple's development labs will provide upside to revenue and earnings potential for Apple during the next two to four quarters.
Kevin McCarthy
It represents a big win for Apple and the Mac platform. But Apple doesn't represent a threat to AOL's business. Apple isn't a media company; it's not in online services. It's not the same threat as when Microsoft wanted interoperability.
Michael Gartenberg
We've had several conversations with Apple. We'd like to develop for the Macintosh and we're thinking throughout how to do that.
Bob Greene
Gates has kept Apple alive to get the Justice Department off his back. All he has to do is stop making Office for the Mac and that is the end of Apple. He keeps Apple alive, but very weak.
