That's what we've been ordsprog

en That's what we've been doing the last few games. Our press has been real effective, it gets us a jump start, and gives them confidence right off the bat.

en David and I really had a jump start. We always paid a lot of attention to what they were developing so, when the new system became effective, we were really ahead of the game.

en We came back. We didn't start out real well, though. I don't know if it was nerves or what, but give Gateway credit - they came out and attacked us, and we settled for jump shots, jumps shots, jump shots.

en We had a good start, our press was effective and we controlled the tempo. But I never felt comfortable pulling our starters. D-C never quit. They kept coming after us.

en The win over Alvin was big for us. Anytime you start districts on the right foot, it really helps confidence-wise. Smith pitched well, and Johnson came up with a big home run. I think that we are winning games right now without having to rely on one person. All of our kids believe in each other, and that has been a real key for us so far.

en For me, it's all about the first 81 games. It's by then that you know what the team has for the most part. If you get to 81 games with a decent record, the confidence grows. You start winning games you're not supposed to win.

en He wasn't playing the way I wanted him to play coming off the bench, so hopefully, this will jump-start him a little bit. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. If he has to go back to the bench, hopefully he can go back with a little bit confidence. I wouldn't even say confidence -- he's always confident.

en After winning a ballgame over a team that was a two-touchdown favorite, you can imagine how much confidence you gain. As you lose, you begin to lose confidence. You can win 15 games in a row and then lose one, and then you start to wonder. It was a big boost for us as far as confidence is concerned.

en You lose confidence after a while and start believing that you can't win games down the stretch. The guys stepped up. We got pretty much every rebound we needed to get, and that was a confidence booster for us.

en In the second quarter the press was effective, but against a team of that quality it's not going to be effective for that long because they'll find ways to break it.

en They're a team that strives on getting up and getting pressure. If they sense a weakness in your press break they're going to keep coming up at you. I think throughout the game we did a great job of breaking the press that's why I don't think it was as effective.

en We've just got to get better by using these games. Personally, me, yeah, I want to get those big games. I liked those games in Maui. I'm still going to play hard against Quinnipiac, but next week we start a bigger, real-deal season.

en You are going to have to get the club out and start beating on people. And it's going to have to be real, and it's going to have to be effective.
