en It is so rewarding for all of us to see the atmosphere that we had tonight and to remember how it was even before the (Brandon Heath and Marcus Slaughter) group got here. To go through turmoil and tough times, that makes the reward of cutting down the net all the more enjoyable.

en Brandon Heath is someone you love to see succeed for all sorts of reasons. He's a gentleman. Nobody works harder. You can't help but love Brandon Heath. To see him have both team and individual success is immensely gratifying.

en We played pretty well against them, but we didn't have any answers for (MWC player of the year) Brandon Heath. They're an unbelievably talented team, a team playing with a lot of confidence. We'll start with Michael Harrison on Heath, and hopefully we can make him take tough shots.

en (SDSU) has terrific talent. Slaughter and Heath were terrific. We could not stop Heath. Give them credit. They responded to every one of our runs.

en Both against Albany and tonight, although in different ways, these teams forced Marcus Williams to make plays to beat them. And Marcus took advantage of the opportunity both times. He was magnificent.

en They have enough to be better than us because Slaughter and Heath are very good basketball players. It is going to be a tough basketball game for us.

en They've all been rewarding. Each division championship you win has its own measure of reward. But this year is the most rewarding because we had to (overhaul) our roster in midstream.

en We've got to keep him healthy. Brandon Brothers is our backup fullback. Brandon's tough, and he'll run over some people. But we really need Brandon on defense.

en I like our future. I like the potential. It's going to be great, ... I want to stay humble, continue to work hard at practice ... staying together in tough times and tonight was the test of tough times, and we passed the test tonight.

en When you get a guy who strikes out 14 batters that sure makes your defense look good. Brandon was on tonight.
