en The team was selected last summer. Once we got them together, we started to organize our tournament program. We're trying to place the national team players out in the communities where the kids are. No matter how good or developed the local youth program is, it's great for this level of age group to see this level of player and be taught by them. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. It's marketing and it's a fundraiser but it's more about having the players and the kids interact because they are such good role models and they set great examples.

en Our second semester transfer signings went well - we offered five and got the five we wanted. They are a good fit for us, they are workers - we also needed the maturity that these veterans bring to the program. Our freshman class is rounding out to be a very versatile group. We have a good combination of athletic kids who move well and skill kids who will bring athleticism and speed to the program.

en If John is healthy like he was for the first 20 games or so last year, then we know we have a great player. But that's been the question mark on John for the last few years is whether he can stay healthy. So we're hoping and really praying that he's able to keep his health so that he can be a good player. If he's healthy he's going to be an impact player. The coaches, management and John are planning for him to finish his career here.

en He's real impressive. His skill level and his skating level are incredible. I think that he's a special player, but I don't think there is much extra pressure on him right now. I think right now he's able to find his own level because we are competent back there. We have good players back there so he's going to be able to develop at the proper pace. But when you have a player who is that strong, everybody gets excited. And I think we are all feeling like this is a terrific opportunity for him and the franchise.

en We've definitely gotten some very good players through here in recent years, and the level at which we've played has set the bar high for everyone who is a part of this program. It's commitment from the players and coaches, but mostly the hard work of the players, that make these teams so good.

en Xavier has been, in a lot of respects, the identity of this program the last few years. It's almost like he adds prestige to the team. In a lot of ways, he's helped raise the level of the other kids. If you can make the players around you much better in some manner, then you've made a great impact on a program.

en We would not take a guy at this late date if he couldn't help us. When you watch him on film, he looks like (an impact player). He catches the ball very well over the middle. We hope he is that type of player. You never know until they get here, but he was one of the top players in the Pittsburgh area last year.

en Brittany is one of the top players to come out of Memphis this year. She comes into our program with great size and is a very skillful and technical player. Not too often do you find a player with that type of mixture and ability.

en I think the interaction with the players and the coaches and being in a different role than he used to. I think he's been very impressed with the skill level of the players in the NBA.

en What we're hoping to do is win our division. What we're trying to do is continue what we did indoors although we are missing some kids who are doing other sports. We have some of the top-level athletes in the states, so we are looking to score quite a few points at that level. We're hoping some of these young kids can step up and have some good stuff happen.
