en If you pay attention to the music industry, the story isn't that unique. A lot of bands get picked up and then dropped. But most of them break up. They can't go on. I like to think that we were a little smarter than most. We knew what we were doing and didn't stop for anyone.

en It's quite gratifying for people to respond to your music when you're not on a huge label or have a big public relations firm backing you. When you consider just how many bands there are out there at any given time, it shows you that there's a hunger out there for something that's different and fresh. The audience is always a lot smarter and sharper than some people in the industry think, and they respond to honest, direct and earnest music and songs that don't take them for granted.

en We had our (big) men helping bring the ball up. So, if we were able to break the press, we had good scorers who were able to stop and shoot on the other end. This team is getting smarter, and we know who should take (the shots).

en There's a lot of people in bands out there who are millionaires, and it might sound egotistical but they're no better than me. I'm not saying I'm better than them, but they're no better than I am. It has nothing to with talent, it has to do with majors, and sexism in the music industry.
