There are some issues of people using the island to party on but I didn't think it was in all that bad a shape.

In my opinion, the people who ran with SAC last year really started to see that Students' Party was working on the same issues. We didn't feel it was necessary to duke it out and have this fight for three weeks. … We're trying to build more unity.

There are a lot of people all basically agreeing on these issues ---- the big difference is not just believing in the Republican Party, but what have you done to execute the policies of the Republican Party.

Staten Island didn't seem as dense as Queens and Brooklyn, even though they say it is being overpopulated and overdeveloped. We didn't get that sense at all. Then Glenn said, 'I think I love Staten Island.' It was the most hilarious thing.

The island annexation will bring some challenges, but we have prepared for them. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. I am sure there will be some unexpected issues. However, these are good issues to have.

Second, he can make the issue that he drew new voters into the party, and that the party will have to incorporate his platform if it wants to keep those voters.

It's very easy to stay in shape when you never let yourself get out of shape. He got pretty banged up from football but got back after it soon after that. He didn't come into the (track) season out of shape.

This consolidation gives us the best of both worlds: Island-wide perspective on issues like water quality and shellfish restoration, and enhanced commitment to protecting and preserving the local places where we have long had a presence. It carries the banner for the most innovative conservation work on Long Island.

There are certainly good people who think it will be an issue and one Democrats ought to take advantage of. I just think there are much bigger issues out there. I really do. I think people are mad about it but I'm not sure you can point the finger to a party or a person.
