We had talked about renovating the lighting system before the storm. So, since we had to do all of this repair work we just went ahead and starting installing a completely new lighting system. We hope to be open in June now.

Basically they're water sprays that release compressed air and water. The compressed air expands and releases energy as it is sprayed, and that causes the cooling to cause the water to form snow.

Gilman has passed the point where its problems are still lovable quirks. We need to make it function as a building. The heating, lighting, and plumbing have to work, and the noise level has to be manageable. Secondly, the building has gradually ceased to be as supportive of the work that goes on here and as nurturing of the community as it once was. We need to change that.

I love lighting that is soothing. A beautiful hanging fixture, nothing harsh in the way of lighting for the bedroom.
