If we got a couple hundred riders a day the first year, I would consider that successful.

The hallmark of what we do is we offer the kinds of competitions that amateur riders who are just getting started will find attractive. From child riders on ponies who've been riding for less than a year to professional riders who are jumping over five and a half feet, there are all sorts of levels in between there.

They put it together, this is our third year and we are so excited. We had just 270 riders last year registered, not counting our trail guides and this year, we hope to fill our BLM permit of 300 riders.

For the initial Memory Ride, we had six riders, consisting of mostly family and friends. And last year, 150 riders from all over the country participated in what truly turned out to be a terrific event. This year marks our 10th Anniversary and we are still striving to promote awareness of Alzheimer's as well as help fund research.

And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.

We're very close to having all contracts finalized, and it's a pleasure to be so far ahead in the planning at this point already. It gives us space and opportunity to get started early on planning the details of our program for next year. Of course we want a diverse group like now, with both experienced riders and new talents, and the three riders mentioned before have already shown they deserve a spot on our team for next year.

This is shaping up as a terrific holiday for Vermont skiers and riders. We've had a series of modest snowstorms over the past couple of weeks and good snowmaking temperatures for most of the early winter. This combines to provide skiers and riders with some of the best December terrain in recent years.

Taking out a couple hundred soldiers here and a couple hundred soldiers there is not what we consider a withdrawal. We consider that to be theater.

If I've calculated it correctly, the city could probably capture a couple hundred thousand dollars a year.

It takes everybody by shock and surprise. We can take [hospitals] from a couple of hundred thousand dollars a year to multimillions. And that's what we're doing for Woman's.

All four going to state this year can place. Two have already and the other two have beaten guys that have placed. I'm looking forward to the big show and it's always a great thing. I always tell them they are in the top 16 in their weight out of a couple hundred.

This is my first victory of the season. I basically tried to ride it the same way as I did last year. I tried to really make the difference in the second half or the final third of the race. The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him. It seems to work out well that way. But it wasn't easy, as there were other strong riders here today. Winning this takes the pressure off my shoulders, it has been building for the last couple of months.

A couple times last year, I went to a Comm. School lecture hall. You just ask the professor. You can embarrass someone in front of a hundred-person audience and go over the top with it.

You come to Purdue to win a (championship) banner. We were successful this year and we put ourselves in position to win a couple of banners. Unfortunately, Ohio State got the best of us.
