en We're like a family, us four. Brothers. It's not just basketball with us. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. We all hang out together. We come to practice together, we leave together, sort of do everything together. We include each other in everything we do.

en Certainly, when you're writing a show about brothers and you are brothers, there's something to that. But I wouldn't say either of have an inferiority complex. en Tommy Les was one of the most determined basketball players I've ever been around. He was sort of like a basketball version of Pete Rose, only I think Pete Rose had a better jump shot. But Tom was the sort of player that you were going to have to carry off the court before you were going to beat him.

en It disturbed me quite a bit when young children had to get on the evacuation buses and leave their pets behind, ... Pets are a part of your family, at least in my opinion. I have five dogs of my own and they're my family. I can't imagine having to leave them behind.

en They look out for each other and the players are like a big group of brothers. It's close friends of the family to that I know that are in Austin. My uncle's mom is down there, so it really helped knowing I had family down there.
