en Delta already offers New York customers the most service of any U.S. airline across the Atlantic, the most domestic capacity from New York's LaGuardia Airport, and the city's leading shuttle product to Washington, D.C. and Boston. The addition of daily, non-stop service from New York to South America's largest market is the latest step in ensuring that Delta is New York's airline of choice. More service announcements that will further extend our leadership position in New York are planned later this winter.

en Delta means business in New York, and we are pleased to expand our leadership position in the world's largest market by offering nonstop service to more of New York's top business destinations from LaGuardia Airport.

en We intend to expand our international operations over the next few years [and] in close co-operation with Xerox UK to become their largest partner in that territory.

en We strongly believe that energy choice benefits New York consumers as reported by the New York State Public Service Commission (NYPSC) last week. Electric prices have dropped by an average of 16 percent for New York residents between 1996 and 2004 according to the NYPSC. New York residents are also benefiting from the innovation and emphasis on customer service that competition creates.

en My storm spotters actively track storms both Saturday and Sunday nights as they crossed Henry County last weekend. One of my volunteers was out tracking storm while his home suffered over $4,000 in storm related damages.

en Crews were able to get that back on within two hours and that's really the only weather-related outage we've seen,

en In the last 12 months alone, we've seen the largest insurance brokers in America, the largest property and casualty companies in America, the largest title insurance companies, the largest financial service firms and the largest disability insurers all engaged in flagrant violations of their most basic obligations to their customers, ... This is not just a UnumProvident problem; it's an insurance industry one.

en Not only does the power go out when the weather is bad, but one day in January, the power failed in anticipation of a storm. A storm was predicted for Jan. 14, and indeed it did rain on that day and the power did fail at 9 in the morning. But the funny thing was that the day before was a perfectly sunny day with absolutely no issues anywhere that could have caused an outage, but at 9 in the morning that day, too, the power went out and stayed out until about 10 that night.

en Virtually every portion of the community along the coast was impacted by a power outage because of the storm during the weekend.

en Our most significant calls related to this power outage have just been stuck elevators. We're just urging people to stay put.

en If you were ill before the storm and you were on a respirator and the power was knocked out then I count that as a storm-related death,

en I believe the second largest concern in the community, besides moving out of downtown, is fragmenting the county services. People want one-stop shopping. People like all their service related things together, and we need to think about simplifying not fragmenting that. I've talked with several judges and they would like to see the courts together with a common jury pool.
