It's quite an event for a town our size.

And it's been such a success. It's beyond what we could have expected. I think it's just wonderful that in the town this size we have (Marion) and Service Printing, which could produce this book. And it's also the right size town to help; people buy it and read it and send it to their friends.

Manchester would be hiring a very qualified town manager for their town. I think Manchester would be a perfect position for him. It's a similar town the size of Enfield; probably many of the same issues that he would be confronted with day to day.

Tom's probably the second-highest ranking guy in town right now. Seriously, though, he does a great job. He's always got as many things going on as he can for a town this size.

I think their derby is an awesome event for those in town who don?t have the opportunity to get out of town but still want to fish. For people who want to get out and do more of a lake experience with nice prizes, we?re here.

There are two stories to the origin. The first one involves a bunch of guys who got together for a horse race in England during the 1800s. The weather was bad and they did not want to risk hurting their expensive horses, so they ran the race themselves. The second was a (horse) race where there was so much fog no one could see. They ran from church steeple to church steeple in each town. Supposedly that's how it got its name. Either way, the event came from people running from town-to-town and jumping over fences, creeks and whatever else was in the way.

For a town our size, this is going to be a huge issue for all of us to get an understanding. I hope we are able to take our time -- I hope it doesn't become a divisive issue for the town. This event is a tribute to the original rodeo cowboy. The combination of Steamï¿½--boat's genuine friendliness, real Western heritage and world-class skiing on over 20 feet of Champagne Powder snow this season has made our town and resort the ideal setting for the event for over three decades.

Detroit was just a Levine-size town.

We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

ABC has been nothing but supportive and wonderful. I think their point is that people are sick of seeing women who are size two (NZ size 8) on television, and it's time we had someone who's a size eight (NZ size 16) carrying a show.
