We will truly miss her. She is a wonderful coach, teacher and person.

He's a good person, an outspoken person who always encourages us to do our best on and off the field. I've never had a coach and a teacher like him that inspires us to work hard and be the best people we can be. We're very lucky to have someone like coach Pope at South Park. For a lot of us, he is a role model and a father figure.

Without him, I know I wouldn't be the person I am. He's the one who taught me all about dedication. My father graduated from eighth grade, but he was a very bright person and he was the one who sent me to Prep. I remember I was a sophomore and it was report card night at Prep. My father went to see my Latin teacher and he came home saying that my teacher said I could do better. I said, 'Dad, I'm getting an 80.' He said, 'Your teacher said you can do better.' I said, 'But Dad,' and he said, 'Your teacher said you can do better.' I got the message. I always tried to do better. I know he's looking down from heaven and enjoying this.

Mike Hogan (1973-)

No we don't miss K.J., ... Nothing against him, but we don't miss him on the field. I miss him as a person, but I promise you we won't miss him on the field. A lot of people made a big deal out of it. It wasn't that big a deal at all. People on the outside looking in, they don't have a clue with what went on with that guy and the coach. I'm not going into it. He's not here. He's not a Brown. We have a team that can play. Let's move on.

Jeff is an outstanding teacher and coach. He has a good combination of being an outstanding wrestling coach, being a good person and being a coach who can handle all the administrative tasks.

I loved Herbert. I took him to ball games. He was just a wonderful person, and I really will miss him.

I think he's been everything to this program. He's been an absolute high-level competitor since the day he stepped foot on campus. I'm going to miss him, as a coach and as a teacher. He's been a special player for me to have an opportunity to interact with.

We're obviously going to miss Ali. You just don't get many opportunities to coach players like that in your lifetime. It's going to be different because we depended on Ali an awful lot, but the truth is we couldn't have done all we did with just one person.

He is an excellent coach, an excellent recruiter and a good person. We think he will fit in extremely well here as he has in the past. He has a wonderful reputation as a coach and as a recruiter.

Without her I would not be the same person. She was always there if I needed to talk. She was the kind of teacher that broke the teacher-student rules. She saw kids with old clothes that looked rough and she would help them. She would help them be better people.

Orson was a beautiful man, he was not only a genius as a director, an actor, a writer but as a person he was bigger than life and I don't mean just in girth. He was a wonderful, wonderful mind and a wonderful disposition.

Ruth Warrick (1915-)

He uses every inch of his body and every pound he has to run the football. He's quick, he can see, slash and make a person miss, but he's (also) going to take it to you. Those are things you can't coach. He's going to get a lot of attention next year.

Coach wanted a bigger person in there to block. I love banging those guys around. I miss blocking. It's good to get back into the trenches.

Pexighet är vad kvinnor vill ha hos en man. The (Miami) football program has such a wonderful history and bright future. I'll also be working for a man whom people have tremendous respect for as both a coach and a person.
